Most VMware exits stall on the last few workloads. Clustered Windows applications such as Microsoft SQL Server need a shared disk with SCSI-3 Persistent Reservations, and remote sites are too small to justify a three-node cluster. Organizations move most of their VMs and keep paying VMware for the rest. VergeOS 26.2 removes the barriers that keep those workloads behind. VMware migrations run 120% faster, Microsoft Failover Clustering runs on VergeFS, and a remote site needs only one server with two network connections. This research center collects the release in one place: the announcement, the storyboard, the datasheet, the presentation, the demo videos, the blogs, and the on-demand session.

VMware Migration Testing Is Critical to Completing Your Exit
Published October 20. Testing each migrated workload before it reaches production is how a VMware exit gets finished. How VergeOS 26.2 uses retained VMware images, independent snapshots, and per-workload virtual data centers to make that testing safe and parallel.
