Infrastructure Software
That Replaces VMware
- A single piece of software for your entire infrastructure
- Runs bare metal on the servers you already own
- Mixes vendors and generations in one cluster
- Private AI on your own GPUs
The Team Behind Every Deployment

- A founder’s vision. Greg Campbell, VergeIO’s original founder and current CTO, set out to simplify IT infrastructure with a single, unified infrastructure operating system.
- A stronger company. Parag Patel is CEO, with the same product and engineering team and a board that includes former VMware CTO Kit Colbert.
- Proven in production. Hundreds of VMware migrations now run in production on VergeOS, including multi-site customers such as Topgolf and Saratoga Casino.
- Strategic alliances. VergeIO partners with Veeam, NVIDIA, Solidigm and Intel.
Four Ways Customers Put It to Work
Most environments arrive through one of these four doors and then expand into the others, since the same platform answers all four.
Migrate One Server at a Time. No Big Bang.
- 1Start. Three VMware hosts running production.
- 2Free host 3. vMotion its VMs to the other two and reimage it with VergeOS.
- 3Move host 2’s VMs. Back up into VergeOS, test, run an incremental, cut over.
- 4Convert host 2. Reimage it and spread the VMs across both VergeOS hosts.
- 5Move host 1’s VMs. Back up to both VergeOS hosts, test, incremental, cut over.
- 6Finish. Reimage host 1 and spread the VMs across all three.
Back Up From vSphere. Boot on VergeOS.
Refresh VMs rediscovers the vSphere inventory. The Alpine VM, still running in vSphere, gets a differential backup into VergeOS, and the job finishes Complete.
Import from that backup, keep the MAC address, and pick the storage tier. Switch the boot disk to SATA, then power on with a snapshot as the safety net and watch Alpine boot.
Mixed Hardware. One Platform.
- Step 1. Install VergeOS on your hardware. Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS, and Supermicro run side by side in the same cluster, including older generations and refurbished nodes.
- Step 2. Migrate your VMs to the new infrastructure. They come across with their data and network settings intact.
- Step 3. Use the capabilities VergeOS adds, starting with virtual data centers that give each department or customer its own isolated compute, storage, network, and protection.
Put Every Drive on the Right Tier. Live.
- One setting per drive. Change the preferred tier and VergeOS moves the data in the background.
- No downtime. The SQL Server VM stays online and keeps serving queries.
- Flash where it counts. OS, log, and tempdb stay on NVMe. Bulk data moves to high-capacity HDD.
- $263 to $133. The VM’s storage media cost drops 49%.
Move a Live SQL Server Disk to Hard Drives.
- Two screens. VergeOS on the left. On the right, a monitor querying a live SQL Server VM every second.
- One change. The SQL data disk’s preferred tier moves from Tier 1 NVMe to Tier 5 hard drives.
- Live migration. VergeOS moves the data in the background while the VM stays online.
- No interruption. The monitor keeps returning rows at a steady rate the whole time.
Protection Built Into the Platform
Ask AI About Your Data. Keep the Data.
Private AI on Your Own Platform.
The agent’s model runs in a VM on VergeOS with two GPUs passed straight through and drives the VergeOS CLI. Asked for 20 Ubuntu VMs, it builds and powers them on, then stops and deletes them on request.
A business user attaches six webinar attendance exports (simulated data) and asks the same local model for an analysis, trends, and who sales should call first. The files never leave the platform.
Run Your Entire Infrastructure on Hardware You Already Own
Integrated storage, built-in data protection, and site-to-site DR come with the platform. Bring the servers you have and the workloads you want back.
